Due to the threat of severe weather President Obama’s acceptance speech tomorrow night has been moved indoors to the Time Warner Cable Arena from the Bank of America Stadium. Ironically, it was in Charlotte on a rainy day four years ago that candidate Barack Obama made a final campaign stop the day before the election. The change in venue will dramatically cut down on the size of the live audience and preclude large numbers of residents and non-delegates the chance to witness the speech. Four years ago in Denver Barack Obama accepted the nomination before thousands in the home football stadium of the Denver Broncos. The move indoors might also be better suited to the economic mood of the nation and be the right message as a large stadium like atmosphere could have been perceived as offensive by the viewing public across the country.
