The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has released unemployment figures for March. The nation lost 663,000 jobs last month and the unemployment rate now stands at 8.5 percent. Since the beginning of the recession in 2007, 5.1 million jobs have been lost. Black unemployment is now 13.3 percent. Follow NorthStarNews.com for continuing coverage.
